SC-49 is an environmentally responsible “green” treatment of metal surfaces. It provides corrosion and abrasion resistance as well as an excellent surface for paint adhesion. SC-49 can coat any metal that is hydrophilic which means the water does not bead, it coats smoothly over the surface of the metal.

           Coating wear characteristics – High abrasion resistance, will not chip or peel
           Corrosion Resistance – 168 hrs ASTM-B117 salt spray per MIL-C-5541E
           Paint adhesion – Meets MIL-C-5541E paint adhesion requirements

The panels on the right have been treated with SC-49 and put in a salt spray chamber for 168 hours. They include various metal types all of which are clean and have no corrosion. Below steel panels, left coated with SC-49 the other uncoated. Left panel results after 288 hours salt spray chamber, the uncoated is after just 5 hours.
